Asuka Ruby, Hanezu uses “Asuka Ruby” which is from Asuka Village, Takaichi District, Nara Prefecture. “Asuka Ruby” is a variety cultivated in Nara Prefecture, and its genes come from "asukawave" (アスカウェイブ) and "Nyoho” (にょほう).
This new species registered in 2000 and is a strawberry variety that is well-known and popular all around Asia. The fruit is large, bright red with a shiny appearance and both the sugar content and acidity are well balanced.
